We spent two days in Frankfurt, a five minute walk from this beautiful square. We enjoyed people watching here, the street performers and the many places to eat or have a drink. We also shopped and visited the beautiful churches.

A beautiful collection of paintings from all types of artistic genres. We spent a couple of hours just wandering and enjoying all the art. Be sure and walk up to the rooftop for a glorious view of the city. Nice way to spent part of your day in Frankfurt.

Being in Frankfurt and not coming to a skyscraper that offers a view of Frankfurt and its surroundings is as if you were never in Frankfurt. It got its name from the river Majna, so it is called Main Tower. 240 m high with antenna. You can take the elevator to the 54th floor (196m), but you can climb the stairs to a height of 200m from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city and the surrounding area. Everything is very well insured so there is really no room for fear.

Beautiful cathedral close to Romer Square. We enjoy seeing the beautiful old churches when we go to Europe. We enjoyed this one very much.

This is a large museum of natural history. Very similar to natural history museums in other major cities. Several dinosaurs, some of which are original and some are casts. If you can get on a tour, it is definitely worth it.

Beautiful views of Frankfurt and the River Main from this bridge. When we went it wasn’t super crowded so we were able to enjoy the views and take pictures.

This is a pleasant riverwalk lined with stately museums. You could easily spend a day visiting them all.

I was only in Frankfurt to catch a plane, but looked for something to do the day before. This turned out to be an interesting visit. Admittedly, I am not well-versed about Goethe, but know the basics. Honestly, if this had been Hans the baker's preserved house it would have been just as cool to visit. The architecture was comely, the furnishings were alternately elegant and over the top. There is a lovely garden with an immense fig tree. The still-green figs were as big as my fist! I'd have loved to have gotten a ripe one.

Upstairs is a whole art museum. I didn't even see the entire thing. The staircase to access it reminded me of a Fritz Lang movie. If you go, you'll see what I mean.

It was certainly worth the visit.

The first floor deals with film up till the time when the Lumieres started making film.So much is familiar.
The second floor exhibits are more to do with filmaking, film stars, photography editing make up etc.Although I have seen much of this in Berlin and Paris it is nevertheless well done.
