I been investigating the return of Club Penguin for 4 years, And i never seen this happening.
i suspect that Disney is cooking something (i hope is good)
one day when is was trying to enter the club penguin site it said that i didn't have the permission to enter the site.
something strange about that is that if you just type "clubpenguin.com" you just get a White Screen. but if you type "http://www.clubpenguin.com" it don't load and it redirect you to the Club penguin Island.

It ain't that deep man. If they wanted to bring the game back they would've done it years ago. Browser games are also dead so even if they would bring it back it wouldn't be in the form of a website.
yeah people gotta realize the market isn’t there to bring back club penguin. browser games have come and gone and there’s new levels of gaming. disney tried to adapt club penguin to the new world of gaming with club penguin island but it failed for many different reasons so disney gave up on it
I believe browser games are making a comeback, but have nothing to support this
They can develop the game using WebGL. Unity even supports it.
They could but there's little to no demand for it . Most have moved on from browser games.
CPI wasn’t a website based game but they still had a website. Most major games have a webpage without the game being accessed directly from there.
Still, I don’t think the website being updated necessarily means Club Penguin is coming back.
"Last updated" is the last time the domain was renewed. It's not coming back.
I agree it’s not coming back, but why would they renew the domain in 2024? That seems like such a waste.
so other people don't use it, if there's another business called "club penguin" people will associate it with disneys brand, and they want to control their image and brand.
If Club Penguin comes back, it won't be for a very long time. This doesn't mean anything.
i know it was recently brought up that the domain is expiring so they likely update it so they can just auto renew the website. really sucks but there’s not much more to that other than disney hoarding club penguin rights
Disney is apparently holding onto the IP with an iron grip. One of the old creators/developers just said on Twitter that they’ve tried to buy it back before. Disney wouldn’t let them though.
It’s Disney renewing the web domain, and likely nothing more.

real talk though, does anyone really want disney to bring club penguin back? Like yeah, it sucks that the game shut down, and private servers have been fickle. BUT, under disney club penguin was a MTX hell and eventually just became an advert for the various properties they had been scooping up. I have many many memories of this game, and I still play it through club penguin journey, but much of the original runs is plagued by membership screens
Even if it does come back lol I'm like 22. I like the recreated fan ones to occasionally poke around through but the Disney official site? No thanks
New Club Penguin is almost identical, fun to play just like old times.
