I’m the James Milner of the English Championship – Albert Adomah

Former Ghana winger Albert Adomah has been speaking about his football career in the English Championship.

The 36-year-old has enjoyed life on the second-tier league and has no intentions of hanging hos boots soon.

Adomah has made 525 appearances in the Championship and that makes him the player with the most games in the League.

Speaking with BBC Radio London, Adomah expressed his desire to retire at the club if possible but believes he has at least one more season left in him.

“I always see myself as the James Milner of the Championship; I think that’s the best comparison.

‘He started younger than me; I began at 20, but I’ve maintained this longevity, playing for nearly 17 years now,’ he added.

Milner is a three-time English Premier League winner with 604 appearances.

Adomah began his professional career at Barnet in 2008, sponsored by the renowned BBC commentator John Motson.

Throughout his journey, he has made significant impacts at clubs like Barnet, Bristol City, Middlesbrough, and Aston Villa, culminating in Villa’s 2018-19 Championship play-off final triumph over Derby County.

Following brief loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City, he joined QPR in 2020.
