Stay away from this institution if you want actual support and guidance from the administration. Upon countless of exit counseling meetings where I was told several times I was done with everything and checking my course requirements I found out that I was missing a class after graduating. Missing a course will of course bring problems, when transferring to another institution. When reaching out to them they will take no accountability for their mistakes, some of the administration such as Jazmin Garcia are quite rude and unhelpful. The transfer center was hardly ever open and the workshops of no use. Luckily I was able to do everything on my own and got into a really good school but if you want the assistance and support then please look into other options. It may be a convenient school to go to, but the convenience has the potential to turn into a headache later on. Also counselors will create an ed plan for you and not clear you therefore leaving you unable to register.
It is a really good school for the ones who opt for transfer and are interesting in getting the associates certificates from the college. The classes, maintenance and professors are really good.Mainly, the professors are friendly and wish to make changes in your life in a better way. They strive to bring the best out of you not only academically but also in other aspects too.I am a STEM Major CS student from ECC and I am really enjoying my studies without any stress. My grades are also intact and I keep learning new things from this college. The college also offers STEM, MESA and HTP for engineering aspirants. Not only for engineering, this college does have a lot of resources like library, book store, and even the transport service is free of cost to those opting for a bus. This college has many trained and experienced professors, books to help students in every way possible and has many branches like Business, Gymnatics, Music, Art, Dance, Instruments etc.One of the best schools in CA.
I am extremely satisfied with my decision to attend El Camino College before transferring. I have had excellent professors, who were available for questions or if help was needed. I was in the Honors Program and was accepted at the 5 UCs that I applied to. I made a few friends, but I would say there isn't much campus life like at a university. However, I joined clubs such as SWE, Society of Women Engineers as well as MESA, Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievements. I have a good foundation and am ready to transfer to pursue my Bachelor's Degree.
