Lorraine Trojan Obituary

Lorraine M. Trojan Saratoga Springs - Lorraine M. Trojan, 90, passed away peacefully on April 29,2024, at Mary's Haven surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Gilman, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Henriette (Turgeon) Godin. Lorraine moved to the capital district in 1944 and was a 1952 graduate of St. Columba High School. She went on to continue her education at Albany Business College. Lorraine married her beloved late husband Henry Trojan on September 22, 1956, together they shared 35 years of marriage until his sudden passing in 1991. Henry and Lorraine built their family home in Charlton, New York where Lorraine stayed until 2014 when she moved to Saratoga Springs. She was the Executive Director of Birthright of Schenectady for many years. Lorraine was longtime faithful parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville and more recently St. Mary's in Ballston Spa. She enjoyed staying active, one could often find her walking, riding her bike or cross-country skiing. Lorraine also enjoyed reading. Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lorraine's cheerful and energetic demeanor will be remembered by all that knew her.
In addition to her husband, Henry Trojan, she was predeceased by her son Jeffrey Trojan.
Left to cherish Lorraine are her children James Troyan (Jia-Huey Ju) and Anne Marie Trojan, her daughter in law Carolyn Trojan along with her grandchildren Dale Trojan (Amber), Kyle Trojan (Heather), Rachel Trojan, Gabriel Troyan, Mikhail Troyan and Raphael Troyan. Lorraine's great grandchildren Henry Trojan, Martina Millington, Alice Trojan and Willow Trojan along with her sister Dorothy Murray and several nieces and nephews survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road, Glenville.
