Wilhelm Busch museum located between green parks and gardens where you after walking through garden meet a old building.
The building called Wilhelm Busch who was one the best during his own period.
The museum allocates to caricatures. Also each season, according to a theme, the subject of caricatures focus on it.

How could I've skipped the Wilhelm Bush Museum being in his hometown? I learned of his art when I lived in Munich years ago and my philosophy professor, Karl Jaspers, gave me one of Bush's children caricature books for Christmas. I still gab the book at home; but, oh my, looking at his drawings at this Hannover museum was indeed a journey. Some drawings are so so funny, those roundish faced with pacifiers, those tricky acts, those great sketches of people you don't know but it doesn't matter: just enjoy the lines. Caricature along with satire is a wonderful way to see the other side of common place. I went twice and will return.
Try it out!

This place is a must to visit. Just getting there - located in the former royal hunting garden of the House of Hannover (and with King George I and his successors Kings George 2 to 5 also ruler of England).
Exquisite collections and changing exhibitions of European and international Caricature plan for several hours to visit and enjoy coffee and pastries in the small museum caffee.

Definitely worth a visit for a wonderful collection and the special exhibitions. Also worth going for the location in Herrenhausen. Easy to reach with the tram and there is a pleasant little cafe and in summer you can enjoy sitting in the gardens.

There is not a word of English in the entire museum, but is still very interesting and worth a visit. The building itself is quite beautiful and the drawings and exhibits are quite entertaining. Would be great for kids.

This museum is not for everyone. But for those with an interest in children's literature illustration, political cartoons, caricature, and drawing in general this little museum is worth the time. The museum has a large section devoted to special exhibits and when I visited that consisted largely of work by a couple of illustrators of children's literature. It was quite well done. The permanent exhibit contains work by the museum's namesake, but also work by many other artists including Honore Daumier, William Hogarth, Francisco Goya and Ronald Searle. There was also work by contemporary artists. The accompanying explanations of the drawings are in one language only: german. I speak a little german, but I am by no means fluent. My philosophy is that a picture is worth a thousand words and for that reason I enjoyed my visit immensely.

Very beautifully located caricature museum with changing exhibitions that are well worth seeing.
The staff is very friendly.
Volker Kriegel is currently on display. A really great exhibition.
In the permanent collection you can also discover Karlchen by Rotraut Susanne Berner, Sempe, Wilhelm Busch...
Entry 7€. However, I didn't understand why you get a discount in the Herrenhausen Gardens with the ticket, but it doesn't work the other way around. They couldn't explain it to me either.
