"Brenner, you've got something special, and it's time to show the world."- William Cooper

Samuel "Sam" Brenner (nicknamed Brenner by his friends) is the main protagonist of Pixels, he was an expert arcade gamer who worked for the Nerd Brigade before being picked by President Will Cooper to help defend the Earth against an alien menace from the planet Vulula. He would later become the leader of an elite military squad called "The Arcaders" and save the world.

Early Life:[]

As a kid in 1982, Brenner was capable of memorizing video game patterns and played alongside his friends Will Cooper, Ludlow Lamonsoff, and his rival Eddie Plant. After getting second place at the Video Game Championships, Brenner felt useless, but Will tries to convince him he'll do great things one day.

Working for the Nerd Brigade:[]

In 2015, Washington D.C., Cooper (nicknamed Chewie), is now the president of the U.S. and Brenner works as a low paid technician for the company "The Nerd Brigade" and after meeting a boy named Matty and messing up his relationship with his divorced mom, Violet Van Patten, he gets called to check on videos of what looks like Galaga. Brenner confirms that the Galaga that attacked Earth is a perfect copy of the 1982 game (glitches gave it away), Brenner is told to leave for sounding ridiculous in front of the president.

Start of the Alien Menace:[]

On the way home, Brenner finds Ludlow Lamonsoff in his van who brings him to his home (full of conspiracy papers and theories) and confirms that it was Galaga who attacked Earth and it is because of the N.A.S.A. time capsule was misinterpreted by aliens as a declaration of war, when it was supposed to be a message of peace. But while trying to warn the president, Cooper refuses to avoid further humiliation in the public. But when the aliens attack India and leave Earth with one last life, Cooper listens and lets Brenner and Ludlow help the fight as advisers.

Battle of London:[]

After Brenner helped train the U.S. Navy S.E.A.L.s in classic video games to fight the incoming aliens, they find out that the aliens would attack in Hyde Park with the video game Centipede. The soldiers were unable to fight off the aliens, so Cooper ordered Ludlow and Brenner to take over, and they won.

Battle of New York City:[]

Brenner meets Eddie Plant again in prison, and Eddie accepts to fight in New York City after Violet had a call.

Ludlow and Eddie lost, but Brenner defeated Pac-Man.

Battle of Washington D.C.:[]

The planet Volula had sent all of the video games recorded in 1982. It was up to Eddie, Ludlow, Violet, Cooper, and Brenner to take care of Washington D.C., and he won Violet's heart after winning the battle.
