I have the 1st pressing etched as Matrix / Runout (Side A - Etched): 92·50601·A JW QU Matrix / Runout (Side B - Etched): 92·50601-B JW QU. It's in immaculate shape. How can the value be so damn low?- I have a feeling that most people who owned this album, played the grooves out of it at the time. Totally addictive, well-Produced Horn Driven pop--David Foster.

Very nice pressing, got it for R$ 17 ( $ 3,20)...for the price is a no regrets choice...only downside is the album itself which is kinda dated, but "you're the inspiration" saves the day hahareferencing Chicago 17 (LP, Album, White Label) 9 25060-1
watch out!!. All sellers of this WL edition are selling a normal European edition- Edited 2 years agoChicago 17? That must be how many people are in this band.
This is a great sounding album with amazing production quality, soundstage, and clearly a decent pressing. I've got a pristine copy too. - I just got this and was disappointed to hear what sounds like a digital glitch within the first minute! It ruins listening to the record for me. Apart from that, the pressing is not even really quiet, with slight crackles and pops throughout both sides, mostly noticeable in quiet sections and in between tracks. Seems they can’t quite get it right, although the hype sticker proclaims it to be the ultimate audiophile record etc. Somebody was not listening properly in QC.

The second Chicago album produced by David Foster on the Warner label - this was deemed to be less successful than 16 but still very widely played in the 1980s and "Hard Habit To Break" was very popular. The band's sound by now has been tamed into a contemporary soft rock sound rather than their edgier and more Avant Garde beginnings.- Edited 6 years agoThis is w very nice reissue. It comes with a gatefold cover that houses the disc encased in a felt inner sleeve. The cover art is restored, in that it looks more like the typical CD edition I'd see at the mall during the 1990s rather than the reimagined design that was used with the 2006 Rhino reissue. And the disc itself is indeed remastered. It retains the increased vibrancy of the Rhino edition but also opens up the floor to allow me to hear nuances that get drowned out with the thumpNboom of the '06 remaster. To get the full effect of this reissue, the volume needs to be turned up slightly more than what is typically needed for a modern day CD. Which is fine, because this really isn't a modern day recording. I'd rather have to turn the volume up two notches b/c of a stellar remaster than keep it at the same level all of the time and forsake a better quality mastering job. However, it is kind of expensive comparitively. I bought this on credit, so I really don't care how much more expensive it was. As of when I bought this, it was 3x more costly than the '06 Rhino remastered edition.
NOTE: I don't have audiophile quality equipment. I listened to this on KOSS UR 40 headphones connected to a Seiki 22" TV which in turn was connected to an LG Blu ray player.
