Goal

Our goal is to provide the highest quality of law enforcement service through a departmental philosophy of community-oriented problem-solving policing.

The Lumberton Police Department's headquarters is stationed in the Ed Glover Public Safety Building. Our focus is to enhance programs and services to ensure the protection of lives and property while promoting crime prevention awareness, identification and apprehension of offenders, maintaining public order and excellent community relations.

Our department is composed of 77 sworn and 13 non-sworn employees. Police Department Divisions are:

It is the Lumberton Police Department's mission to work hard and diligently to build strong, trusting relationships within all communities which we serve by reducing crime, fear of crime and neighborhood decay through proactive efforts.
