Anyone out of the loop on the mod, it's a HL2 Beta recreation mod that's really far into development so far, and this demo release is of Division 3 which is going to cover parts of the Wasteland. This demo is the first four maps of the Depot.
Yes im playing division 3 now. Needs polish and i don't understand why they dont fix the HUD issues, but an amazing mod
What HUD issues do you mean?
Some weapon pick-ups on the right are cut-off, and some other pick-ups like the armor too. And there is no HUD scaling above 1920p, like for 2k, 4k, 8k and so on. HUD get's entirely cut off there and the health/armor on the bottom left is too small. To be fair most mods have that, but I also don't like most mods (like black mesa or etropy zero) very much, unlike redux, which I love.
Also needs some optimization, it lags at times quite a bit on my 3080
And sometimes it has these stutters where the screen freezes ans 1 bit of audio replays, for sometimes over 1 minute at a time, need to fix that too
If you haven't already I would let them know these things on the discord, since that's where they're most active.
I can agree that Div 3 needs some polish, some maps just feel like they're missing alot. But also some maps do look great.

It wouldn't've hurt If they kept It a little longer In development, but I really do hope In the end It's going to be as good as Division 2.1.
I definitely think there was a lot of room for improvement in the naming of these mods.
i think it's just nice that one of these mods is actually getting somewhere. there have been soooooo many hl2 beta mods to die over the years
Oh yeah, I absolutely agree on that. New weapons looks amazing for example.
But I wasnt talking about the quality of the mod, but the naming.
Do you mean the RTBR mod as a whole?

Division 3
Rising the Bar
Redux
It's a bit confusing. For a casual viewer it's like threee names in one. It should has a standalone name in my humble opinion, and if you want, give an acronym of RTB later.
Well it's called "Raising the Bar Redux" because it's a continuation of a previously cancelled mod called "Raising the Bar", which itself was based on the book that was about the development of of HL2.
I think Division works fine as an indicator of a specific release of a mod, as a continuation of what was worked on before.
Do I need to have division 1&2 installed? Moddb page doesn’t clarify

Div 3 demo doesn't need anything else to run.
The loading times and save times are incredibly long... Is this just an issue with me? Makes the game almost unplayable due to the constant freezing when the game auto saves and makes me dread dying because I know I'll be waiting for like 2 minutes to play again.
I mean I dread dying in real life so I guess it's accurate
