The Gentlemen – Episode 6 “All Eventualities” Recap & Review

All Eventualities

Episode 6 of The Gentlemen opens with Edward visiting Geoff in his cottage. Edward admits to Geoff that the latter was right about Susie Glass all along, and now, if Edward tries to walk away, he could end up like Jethro. Geoff advises Edward to be patient and see how things unfold but also warns him to be prepared for any situation that may arise.

As the episode progresses, Susan presents Edward with a new problem that requires his help. She asks for a three-month extension because they need to launder 15 million pounds before they can leave the estate. Susan takes Edward to meet Chucky, the man responsible for laundering their money. Chucky is proud of his skills, especially when it comes to turning money into legitimate funds, claiming that nobody does it better than him.

Trouble escalates when Chucky catches Jack, Susie’s brother, having an affair with his wife in the washroom. To make matters worse, Jack punches Chucky in the face when confronted. Enraged, Chucky refuses to help Susie Glass and even puts a hit out on Jack. With no other options, Susie calls in a favor to have Jack stay at the Halstead Manor until the night of his big fight.

Henry comes to Edward’s rescue and offers to introduce him to someone who can solve his problem. Henry takes Edward to meet Thick Rick, whom he describes as the most boring man on the planet. During their first meeting, Rick delivers a lengthy lecture on how he plans to launder the money, covering everything from offshore accounts to onshore investments. Edward is impressed by Rick’s plan and agrees to work with him. However, Susie prefers that Edward use Chucky for the money laundering, but Edward refuses

Eventually, Edward realizes that Susie and Bobby have no intention of leaving his estate… ever! When confronted, Susie reveals her true colors, suggesting that Edward is too deeply involved to escape. However, Edward warns her not to mistake his kindness for weakness. He declares that if necessary, he is prepared to go to war with the Glass Family.

Edward meets with Stanley, seeking his help to resolve a rather complicated situation. He asks Stanley to handle the problem delicately so that the Glass Family can emerge from it unharmed. Meanwhile, Henry summons Susie to his office and reveals that he knows about the weed lab, and declares that he is taking over the business.

He gives Susie an ultimatum: if she agrees without resistance, her brother Jack will not be harmed. Susie warns Henry that he is treading into dangerous territory and is planning to wage a war he is not intellectually equipped to see through.

The Episode Review

The show is really heating up now. Susie originally had no plans to leave Edward’s estate, but it looks like she’s lost everything because of Henry. He’s not someone to mess with, and there are signs that he’s working with Stanley. But one thing’s for sure – Susie will be back to make sure Henry pays for what he did to Jack.
