Carol Midgley Times (UK) Has promising ingredients: Molly Windsor, Martin Compston, much forensic science and a young woman's apparently dismembered mother. The problem is that so far no one has mixed them together to make anything remotely tasty. Rated: 2/5 Jan 7, 2021 Full Review Stuart Heritage Guardian The first episode threads just enough needles to make you want to immediately watch the second; that in turn threads enough to make you want to watch the third. Rated: 3/5 Jan 7, 2021 Full Review Lottie Young London Evening Standard Lordy, it's boring. Dec 26, 2019 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said The moody thriller offers an interesting story, and a closeup look at crime and investigative forensic science, and the complexities of information gathering in all branches of investigation. Audience Member Massive lack of continuity and woefully long winded set scenes with drawn out tedious dialogue. The plot meanders haphazardly with various pointless diversions. Little is clear and it is a Herculean task trying to invest credibility into the story line or the characters. The pace is lumbering and has little form making it a chore to watch. Unfortunately the subsequent series exhibit advanced stages of incoherent scenes in which events happen which do not tie back to any meaningful narrative. An exhausting and pointless production. I feel sorry for the actors. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/07/24 Full Review Georgie So many coincidences were used to stitch together the plot that I decided it must be a farcical detective show. Nope. So many holes were left in the story I decided I must have missed 2-3 episodes somewhere/somehow. Nope. The colors were lush -- liked that. The acting was okay but they were given a horrible script to work with. The way the cold case was solved -- with an 18-year old clue that would not have been that pristine the day of the murder -- I knew right then I wouldn't be watching Season 2. I still think it would have been a better ending if it had all been something the lead character experienced in a drug-induced psychosis. She did take a pill of unknown origin in the first episode. And there were various drug references throughout. Sadly, no. We, the gullible and naive viewer, were expected to take all the action and acting at face value, and it was pretty awful. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/13/23 Full Review Shelley S Very realistic characters and action, finally some interesting, believable female roles. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review Audience Member I had to stop watching the show because of the Jennifer Spence character. The annoying voice, the body language, the skragged up hair, the overdone hostility. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review whoknows w The story is interesting as well as the complications that arise between the characters. Acting is very good and convincing. Enjoyed both the main story and the forensics part which feel like two different paths. That's also a bit on the problematic side because it's not clear what the show is about. Is it the girl? Is it the lab? But it was good nonetheless. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I found it Quite compelling. The story was good and the actors, believable. Gave a good insight into how phorensics, work. I enjoyed it, that's the main thing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
