Lauren Jauregui is single and ready to mingle.

The Fifth Harmony alum opened up on a new episode of the 2 Dykes and a Mic podcast about splitting from ex-partner Sasha Mallory and revealed she's currently looking to explore polyamory.

"My current ex and I got together because we went on tour together and danced together," said Jauregui, 27, of Mallory, a former So You Think You Can Dance contestant who performed alongside the "Always Love" singer as a dancer on tour.

Despite breaking up, she remains "besties" with Mallory. "We're really close, actually. She's one of my best friends," explained Jauregui, who identifies as queer and went Instagram official with her ex in February 2023.

The musician joked that "it's very queer of both of us" to continue as friends after ending the romantic element of their relationship before going in-depth on what she's looking for now.

"I’m also kind of in this space of exploring polyamory a little bit," said Jauregui. "I don’t really know what it’s gonna end up shaping up to look like, I just know that I’m in a space right now at this point in my life where I’m like, I want to belong to myself primarily, and then I want to leave space for whoever I meet and me to create boundaries between us, whether it’s like, ‘Oh no, we’re just platonic,’ or ‘There’s kind of a little vibe here.'"

She continued, "We can explore that, and it won’t necessarily affect if I’m exploring something with someone else,’ you know? Obviously, I’m super communicative, so I would never put someone in that scenario that doesn’t want to be in that scenario. But I just feel very free right now, and I don’t feel like this monogamous, held-down energy is really for me."

"But then also, I’m a U-Haul-ass bitch, so the right person comes in and I’m like, ‘Forget it. Everybody leave. I’m getting married.’ I’m such a Cancer," added Jauregui with a laugh.

The former X Factor contestant, who previously dated rapper Ty Dolla $ign, specified that she's not "in a hookup space" at the moment but rather wants to explore different types of connection.

"I’m not in a space of wanting to f--- random people at all, like literally at all," said Jauregui. "I think I might be demisexual, ‘cause I went through the phase of trying to just sleep with people, and I hated it. I hated it. In order for me to be really turned on and enjoy sex, I need to know that you care about me as a human being. I can’t be transactional for you."
