Notes

Initial copies of DEDCD 011 were sold in the UK as a bundle with the Global Communication Pentamerous Metamorphosis CD, which was later made available as a separate item.

The US and European CDs each came with different bonus CDs.

DEDCD 011 contains the album versions of "We Are The Beautiful" and "She's A Vision". Other versions contain the Stephen Hague single mixes of these tracks. Here, the music that linked each of the album versions to the following tracks is moved to the start of the those tracks (4 and 9, respectively), Hence the different track timings for tracks 3, 4, 8 and 9 for the two versions.

Kinda pissed off that a lot of these are shortened versions or edits of the original versions. Why do a reissue that REMOVES music from the original? Lame. I mean, it's pretty clear when you look at the total playing time: 80 minutes. They literally shoehorned the original album and bonus tracks in by editing them to fit a time constraint. That's some garbage attitude towards reissues. Shame on the band and the reissue label for doing that.

Nice package and sound, but does anybody else have a repetitive, soft static noise in the right channel on the last third of Picnic?

What a nice pressing and wonderful sound quality. Seems a little extra TLC was put into this MOV timeless classic. Recommended!

Finally bit the bullet and gave up waiting for a repress and I'm so chuffed. I've always loved this album and to hear the quality of the vinyl press is an absolute joy. There are rumours that the Global Communication remix LP is getting reissued next year, so I'll hold off paying the crazy prices for the original for the moment.

I've eventually won a copy of this on eBay a couple of weeks ago for £22.50, what a bargain. This is by far the best work of Global Communication, it's flawless. Every track is top notch, the original Chapterhouse Blood Music album is decent aswell, I've more or less sussed out what tracks are remixed. I don't know what track Alpha Phase is, Beta Phase I think is Don't look now Gamma Phase I think is 2 tracks There's Still Life is & Deli mixed together. Delta Phase is definitely We Are The Beautiful & Epsilon Phase is definitely Love Forever. I can't rate this album enough, the flow of it is amazing. I don't think I will ever get bored of listing to this masterpiece. This is an essential album for anyone into quality music.

Very upbeat, positive, happy music influenced by Ecstasy; it's sort of halfway between the ethereal shoegaze music and the indie-dance Madchester stuff of that time.

The lyrics are a bit simple and it may not sound that remarkable when you first hear it. But give it a few listens and it will grow on you.

It was "retranslated" by Global Communications into an ambient album that bears little relation to the original but is also equally great, maybe even better - it's just as essential.

This is pure shoegazer material in the truest sense. I actually do not like this sort of Sonic Youth type of material, but am commenting on it despite. Deli is my favorite here and it is because of a sound byte I recognise on a game called SimPark. I wanted Spooky's mixes but they are not of much quality. Do not buy for the Spooky mixes.

this is an amazing album. a masterpiece. somehow chapterhouse manages to pull off rock driven dance songs with electronic melodies that fit into the music so well they become a part of the music and don't stick out like a sore thumb. the vocals are very smooth and melodic and fit the music excellently.

this album, however, get little to no praise because it is an upbeat electro/rock album in a downtempo shoegazing/dream rock world, which is really a shame. more people should give this album a chance.
