The Ironwood Tree, often called the Talking Tree or simply The Tree, is a magical talking tree, the last of her species. She lives in a clearing or a "hollow" in the West Forest, undoubtedly linked to the game's naming. She has the unique power to open a gateway between the main map and the castle grounds.

She appears in three episodes: "The Lighthouse," "The Riddle," and "Colrath."

History

Adam, Mira, and Kai first meet the Ironwood Tree in "The Lighthouse." They accidentally landed on her after falling from a portal. The tree explains to the three friends that Akuma has severed and stolen her branch, thus creating the Ishibo. She makes them an offer that if they return it to her, she will help them get home.

The group eventually returns her missing branch to her in "Colrath." In return, she takes them to the edge of the map and opens the barrier for them to proceed to the Final Boss Battle arena. As the gateway closes, she reminds them that they are worthy and allows the gateway to sever her hand, leaving Adam with the Ishibo.

Physical Appearance

The Ironwood Tree is a tall tree with brown bark and dark green leaves. She has notable humanoid features, including arms, hands, and a face, and she is revealed to have legs in "Colrath." She has yellow eyes with dark brown eyebrows and no nose. When one of her branches is severed from the rest of her body, it transforms into an Ishibo.
