We used a guided app that took us around the route and gave us great info along the way but this park was beautiful and we enjoyed our visit. Cadillac Mountain was fogged over but just below it was not and we got some amazing views and photos. Jordan Pond was too busy and not enough parking so we skipped it but hit most everything else while driving.

Camped at Hadley’s campground in our class C RV. Had shuttle service into Bar Harbor. We rented e-bikes and did the carriage roads. First time using e-bikes and was definitely fun! Love Bar Harbor with all the shops and food. Did the hike along the ocean and was nice. More like a stroll than a hike but that was good. Ate lobster dinners twice. C-Rays lobster shack was right across from the campground so walked there one night. Was worth it.

This hike starts at either Otter Point, or Sand Beach (that has a larger parking area than OP) and is 2.2 miles one way. Several areas to walk off the beaten path to explore the gorgeous views along the rocks of the mighty Atlantic Ocean. Passing by Thunder Hole is a treat, although the area is extremely crowded and is best seen between low and high tide. A great hike for all abilities and ages.

Perfect place to start the day and stroll along the bay. Beautiful view of Frenchman Bay and Bar Harbor Inn. Trail circle along the waterfront and back into town. Absolutely lovely!

This is part of Acadia National Park and stunningly beautiful without the crowds and on site tourist attractions of the main park across the bay. But this satellite park offers many options for visitors. . This is a must see and when you do you visit you will visit again and again. Plenty to do in the immediate area, but the park is pristine, low key and everything they say it is. Campsites, cabins, RV areas, etc are tucked away out of sight. Very much prefer this section over the main park and Bar Harbor. Choice of family owned restaurants minutes away in Birch Harbor artsy Winter Harbor.

While dining in Bar Harbor, I saw we were near low tide and decided to find information about walking to Bar Island, which I heard about previously. We found out we had plenty of time to walk across during low tide to Bar Island. It was a fun experience. It takes about 20 minutes to walk there and back. There are signs warning you prior to walking to Bar Island that you if get stuck on the island, then high tide is 9 hours later. After high tide, the only options to get back from the island are a water taxi or Acadia Dispatch.

Plenty of parking that's the result of the reservation system in place for Cadillac Mountain road. On a clear sunny day the views are phenomenal with plenty of space to spread out from other people. If it's foggy or misty, the view is definitely impacted with lower visibility.

Try to be more responsible on leaving reviews for others to benefit as I have. This cute-little-local store is owned-FAMILY operated. Obviously it’s not part of big corporations around the country/world, that is why I am writing a voluntary review .They have a lower price than the majority of the rest of the shops in the area with good quality and excellent customer service.
In our present chaotic-self centered-entitled world, trying to do our part of honestly helping others, not just with a grateful heart, but with our resources-putting your money where your mouth is- it’s honorable to consume in a store where you know, your business is not just appreciated but it’s even needed for keep going. In short, it gives you the opportunity to let others know that you care about them.

Considered a "small" lake, this is an incredibly beautiful place and worth the time to visit. Can get some amazing pictures here. Keep an eye out for wildlife.

With good weather and low tides one should take the short walk to Bar Island. Low tide provides about a four hour window to walk out to the wooded island. The views can be dramatic especially when large cruise ships are anchored nearby. The route a simple walk from down town.

Nice place to visit for anyone interested in ecology or nature. Located on school grounds operated with the help of the students. The college is located on Eden Street on the waterfront.
