Benjamin Silva Jr.

Benjamin Silva Jr., age 61, of Centerville, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas. Benjamin was born to Benjamin and Isabel Silva on June 28, 1960 in Brownsville and he was raised in Weslaco, Texas. Benjamin was a happy person, he loved clowning around, listening to music, barbequing while drinking beer and spending time with his son and grandson. He was a sharp dresser and loved to be the center attention, wherever he'd go. Benjamin was friendly and very liked by people, he loved to dance, go to casinos and have a good time. Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Maria Silva; son: Albert Lee (Lianet) Silva; grandson: Albert Lee Silva Jr. and his father: Benjamin Silva Sr.. He will also be greatly missed by his sister: Sylvia (Rigoberto) Carrera; nieces and nephews: Maribel (Armando) Osorio, Sylvia (Edgar) Roman, Jaime (Rocio) Vela, Monica (Angel) Diaz, Eduardo (Kierstin) Silva, Armando (Liczely) Silva, Daniel Osorio, Ivan Osorio, Jose Valdez, Natalia Gonzalez and Jasmine Vela; great-grandsons: Andrew Gaytan and Adrian Vasquez. A visitation for Benjamin will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 600 S Oklahoma Ave, Weslaco, Texas. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
