A wave filled with neon lights, synthwave music, and retro vibes floods the Horizon Festival with Horizon Retrowave, the latest update coming to Forza Horizon 5. 5 new retrofuturistic rides join your collection as this series’ reward cars including the 21st century version of a Lambo legend and Hyundai that fuses past and present in the same vehicle. Enjoy the new radio Station, Horizon Wave, that will be providing a synthwave soundtrack to your driving adventures through the Festival. This new station brings a new host and over 10 new tracks all in synthwave style. A new Neon Highway appears with neon decorations that will vibe with the music playing on your radio as you drive by. Get Your Sunglasses Ready for a Cruise on the Neon Highway.

The lights are bright and the highway long, the Neon Highway shows up at the Horizon Festival to set the retro mood for the series.

Going for a drive on the Neon Highway, you’ll spot tons of different decorations all with a sweet neon groove. Take a look at the neon rails, palm trees, and tank mascots scattered around the highway as you drive.

The vibes and mood aren’t the only thing the Neon Highway has; its decorations will be synched to the song playing on your in-game radio, so go for a drive and change your station to see how the highway fits your mood.

Find these new decorations on the Highway near “The Marathon” event.

The Neon Highway isn’t the only part of the map getting flashy this series; neon decorations from Midnight at Horizon are coming back to races featured on series 34, and the extended night cycles are coming back with them to get a better view of all the neon lights shining through the Festival.

Feast Your Eyes with the Drone Retro Show.

Drive to the right side of the Stadium, close to “The Marathon” event and take a look at the neon-fueled drone show brought to you this series.

A big, bright sun made by drones will set on the edge of the Neon Highway for you to gaze at for a completely retro experience.

Use this setting and event to score some amazing pictures and to dampen yourself with the retrowave coming for the next four weeks.

Get Your Synth-Vibe on with the New Radio Station.

The lights are set, and the location is vibing; get the complete Retrowave experience with the brand-new radio station coming to Forza Horizon 5.

As soon as you enter the game, our new DJ, Isabel Moss will welcome you to Horizon Wave, the synthwave radio station kicking off transmissions with the new update.

This new radio station features 21 new songs including the streamer friendly “Encanto Remix” by Mitch Murder.

All seasonal events will have their ambiance set with the music of this new station.

All the style and ambiance of the Retrowave could not stay on the Highway and decorations alone; we have also added a suit drenched with a vintage feel.

The Retrowave Outfit will be available to unlock by completing the Festival Playlist’s first week photo challenge. A purple suit and a glove full of power to become completely submerged in the wave.

2022 Hyundai N Vision 74

Based on the already amazing idea of the 1974 Pony Coupe Concept, Hyundai took the Pony for a time traveling ride and brought back a ton of ideas that show us what the future of car making could look like with the 2022 Hyundai N Vision 74

The N Vision comes with a hydrogen fuel cell and an electric powertrain that gives the car 670 horsepower and instant torque. Adding cooling units allows the car to run a lap around any track flat-out without risking performance.

You can see hints of other celebrated cars like the Delorean in the design of the N Vision; however, the thrill comes when you make this car your own with a nice tuning.

2021 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4

Bringing a legend into the 21st century is no easy task, however if anyone can make is one of Italy’s best car makers ever. Lamborghini decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one fo their elite supercars with the 2021 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4.

In one of the coolest tricks we have seen to modernize a vintage icon, Lamborghini made the new Countach a hybrid supercar that puts out aproximately 802 bhp at the tips of your fingers.

This upgraded machine appears to have been built to make your friends jelous as only 112 units were ever made. Each one of those pieces includes an astonishing 6.5-liter V12 engine capable of teleporting you from 0-100 kmh in just 2.8 seconds.

1986 BMW M635CSi

Listening to that BMW M88 6-cylinder engine really takes us back to a time where thigss were simpler and the 1986 BMW M635CSi was the king of the crossroads between luxury and powerful performance.

This front-engined, rear-wheel drive was a powerful sporty coupé equipped with 282 bhp and a not-too-shaby 246 lb-ft of torque this car could reach a top speed of 255 kmh.

It’s not all sped when we talk about an icon of an era such as de M365, the engineering of this car also relied on modern electronics and innovative inclusions such as catalytic converters and exhaust gas purification. Likewise, this car’s exterior design was superbly designed by Paul Bracq; the result was a timeless stylish design with sportive details.

One of the biggest and baddest sports cars of another era flashbacks into the Horizon Festival with the 1986 BMW M635CSi!

1980 Lotus Esprit Turbo

An already fantastic car takes the leap into supercar territory with the aid of a Garrett T3 turbocharger, get your teacups and biscuits ready for the 1980 Lotus Esprit Turbo.

Even though it still carries the Esprit label tag, this version is almost entirely new. From the “Turbo Esprit” decals found on the body to the 2.2 -liter engine, new suspension, and aerodynamic additions done to the body, the Esprit Turbo looks refined, refreshed, and ready to race.

A trip down memory lane wouldn’t be complete without revisiting an English masterpiece like the Esprit Turbo.

1986 Citroen BX 4TC

Earn 20 PTS during Week 4 “Spring” Season on the Horizon Retrowave Festival Playlist. Available from June 13 until June 20.

Built to fulfil the production requirements of the World Rally Championship, the 1986 Citroen BX 4TC’s commercial version puts the thrill of rally performance at your reach.

An iron casted 2.1-liter engine with straight 4 cylinders powered this production version to achieve a top speed of 220 kmh and reach a 0-100 kmh time of 7.5 seconds. The 4TC also featured Citroën’s iconic hydropneumatic suspension system.

Only 62 units of this car were produced, so not only are you getting rally heritage, you’ll also be adding a real-life rarity to your collection.
