- CatherineShropshire, UK186 contributionsEasy to get bus 19 to from city centre. Stunning trees and views of harbour, North Van, mountains and Lionsgate Bridge. Busy all day but they have seperate lane for walkers and cyclists/skaters so you dont have to worry about that along seawall. Seawall walk is very worth it (but 8km) and can mix it up by venturing into forest areas to do some of the trails. I think the park is too large to do the seawall walk and all trails so pick and choose what you do. Be sure to visit the hollow tree, totem poles and Prospect Point for the best views of mountains and out to sea. Not enough bins in the area I think. We spent all day walking around this place, a haven from the city. Great variety of fish and even saw anaconda, tortoise, cayman croc. Sea otters were absolutely adorable, nice listening to talk about them, but was busy and not enough room to see and stood in rain. Not good signs to show where talks happen though, we waited in wrong area for seal talk so missed start of it. Overall good rainy day activity. Tickets a little pricey (recommend pre purchasing to skip queue) and gift shop v pricey. It is also easy to get to, transportation wise.
