Peter Rainer FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's sort of overlong and overstuffed, but Rosa Salazar is quite good. Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Michael Sragow Film Comment Magazine As spectacle, the film is aces. It welds Rodriguez's eccentric touch with action and special effects to Cameron's mastery of world-building. Mar 21, 2019 Full Review Wenlei Ma News.com.au If only the story of Alita: Battle Angel had been as impressive as its technical achievements. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 7, 2019 Full Review Amy Smith InSession Film Our leading character Alita goes through a lot of development throughout this story, and it is engaging to watch. Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Manuel São Bento MSB Reviews Alita: Battle Angel is one of those movies that you HAVE TO watch at a movie theater (...) it's a visual experience, so do waste your time and money in supporting this film. Alita alone deserves that effort. Rated: B+ Jul 24, 2023 Full Review Nicolas Soto But Why Tho? A Geek Community I really enjoyed watching Alita Battle Angel. This is by far one of the better American live-action adaptations that’s been done. Jan 22, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Llia loved it. That is enough. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Steven This movie was so much fun! Please let it get a sequel! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/22 Full Review Pedro G As a fan of the manga, I did find this movie very entertaining. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/07/24 Full Review Pathetic b It is a wonderful love story. They did it justice. Christoph Waltz is out of his element. Truly. Maybe his agent told him it would be good for him. He sticks out like a sore thumb. Oh well. Mahershala Ali is amazing. Rosa Salazar give the correct kind of depth and her performance makes Alita palpable. Highest score. Both are great. Keean Johnson works hard. His not as immature/airheaded as his japanes counterpart from the original(which is good) but he is sadly a little too one dimensional for me. Poster boy. This was likely not intended. He executes the last part of his story very, very well though. There will not be a second part, which is ok. After the inital "iron city" narrative, Alita's story becomes pretty awful and the last chapters of this story are so...let's just say: COMPLETEL INSANE. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Mr B Drivel. Terrible "acting" by a cast who appear as lost as the "director", a plot thinner than the highest quality porcelain and such a profoundly low opinion of its audience that every, single, stupid aspect is blatantly spoken aloud, just so really can't miss it. The only thing of substance in this film is the special effects, without which this film would just be a shell of poor acting and derisive plot points. I shouldn't bother if I were you, watching this until the end made me lose 17 I.Q. points. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Amir A Visually Stunning watch and I hope there's Sequel.
