Montreal-based Écorécréo Group will be leading the development and operation of the new Aquarium de Montréal, scheduled to open in 2024. To be located at Royalmount, a new destination in Montreal’s Midtown, the group says Aquarium de Montréal will lead in innovation and combine spectacular habitats with unique, immersive experiences for guests of all ages and abilities. The goal is to celebrate freshwater and marine environments while highlighting uncompromised animal care.
Nicolas Gosselin, the aquarium’s general manager, says the vision is to create an unforgettable journey that celebrates healthy marine and freshwater environments while also highlighting outstanding animal care. He added that the aquarium team is focused on transforming the way guests view their relationship with nature. The experienced professionals responsible for the animals will provide enriching behavioral care and stimulating environments.
Gosselin says that forming credible science, education, and conservation partnerships is key to Écorécréo Group’s mission with the aquarium.
