Here is what you need to know about him:

1. He is a handsome man with a handsome face.

2. He's from Martha's Vineyard.

Fischer's family has had roots on the island for more than 250 years—meaning he's not just a fancy summer person. In 1961, his grandfather bought Beetlebung Farm.

3. He is a chef.

Fischer has cooked in Europe, and served as the chef at an inn on the Vineyard.

4. He's lived in New York City.

While living in Manhattan, Fischer worked for Mario Batali. He told the Vineyard Gazette that after his time in the big city, he returned to the island. "I went off and learned to cook food," he told the paper. "When I came back, I wanted to grow food."

5. He can farm, too!

True to his word, when he returned to Martha's Vineyard, Fischer began cultivating the land on Beetlebung Farm and growing his own food, which he would then cook. This process led him to his next venture.

6. He wrote a cookbook!

It's called The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook, and you can buy it here. It w0n the 2016 James Beard Award for American Cooking, and memorializes a year of cooking and living on Martha's Vineyard. You can expect to find recipes for dishes like Sausage in Grape Leaves with Oysters on the Half Shell, Griddled Squid, Romesco Sauce, and Grilled Sea Bass. Yum!

7. Schumer and Fischer went Instagram official literally days ago!

When the couple dropped by The Ellen Show, they thanked the host with a sweet post.

8. He once had a goat named Kale.

Fischer told the Boston Globe that his four-legged pal was actually kind of annoying: "It would only be milked if we gave it a bucket of kale. So, we said, let’s have a goat roast." That meal kickstarted a series of farm dinners that eventually inspired his cookbook.

9. Sometimes, he can kind of look like Jon Hamm!
