DENVER — FORECAST BY: Ed Greene

FORECAST AT A GLANCE: A cold front has pushed across the state which will drop today’s high in Denver by about 10 degrees. A few scattered storms work their way back into the forecast for the weekend for Denver with a chance for scattered showers and storms over the mountains and plains.

Fair and warm weather next week with only a few isolated storms developing by midweek through Friday as highs warm into the 80s for Denver and the plains.

Behind a cold front that swept through late yesterday, the high in Denver will drop to around 70 degrees after reaching a high of 80 degrees yesterday. We also might see a few scattered storms develop over higher elevations.

Saturday will see showers and storms along with gusty winds over higher terrain as well. Some of those storms could then spill over to the front range, metro area and adjacent plains by afternoon. On Sunday, we’ll keep scattered showers and storms in the forecast, although maybe a bit less of a chance for them - especially east.

The Memorial Day Monday Holiday looks to be mostly sunny and warm with even warmer high temperatures Tuesday through Thursday.
