95% Tomatometer 118 Reviews 94% Audience Score 250+ Ratings "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" co-stars Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, two of the most prolific actresses in the history of Hollywood, had a famous feud while shooting the 1962 film. This docudrama from Emmy-winning producer Ryan Murphy ("American Horror Story") recalls the details of the legendary rivalry the Oscar-winning actresses had while filming the movie and extended well after the cameras stopped rolling. "Feud" recalls how the ladies struggled to hang on to fame in the twilight of their careers as they faced such obstacles as ageism, sexism and misogyny. Leading the acclaimed cast are Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon -- portraying Crawford and Davis, respectively -- who have won three Oscars between them. R S I can't believe I've read so many reviews that do not mention that Lange is as stiff as a board here. Once I noticed that the upper half of her face doesn't move, I couldn't un-notice it. I love Jessica Lange - that's why I noticed that her acting here is not up to its usual vigor. Everyone else is firing on all cylinders. I watched Mommie Dearest right before this and having Dunaway's worship worthy facial expressions fresh in my mind didn't help. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/21/24 Full Review Keyi Y Poignant. Touching. Spectacular! Feud succeeds in bringing out complex well written characters with an intriguing and balanced plot. One of Murphy's best works. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Jean G I could not even make it through the first 20 minutes. The language was so vile, vulgar and intrusive. There is no need for this kind language. Hollywood has lost its morals and values in television and movies. I am seeing fowl language in every show now. This show went beyond fowl language. I have no respect for the actors in this series. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Savannah G I love this show. Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, and their life in general, are just so legendary! Seeing this played out with this high level of actors was incredible! And a part of history that needs to be shared! It gives you the feeling of how old Hollywood worked! Loved it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Kid A really good series, definitely gets better as it goes on. i like the balanced approach of the series being funny and also really moving at the same time (especially the final episode). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Happy W Susan Sarandon is wondeful, but mostly at being Susan Sarandon. Jessica Lange is ASTONISHING, and disappears into Joan Crawford. The series is a little too long, but all well-worth the watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
