Stein for NC Has Raised Nearly $17M For The Cycle

Today, Josh Stein for North Carolina announced it is entering 2024 with a record-breaking nearly $11.5 million in cash-on-hand. Having raised more than $5.7 million in the second half of 2023, Josh Stein for North Carolina gained more financial support than any other gubernatorial campaign in an off-year in North Carolina history, bringing in almost $11.7 million in 2023. The campaign has raised nearly $17 million for the cycle.

“People from across North Carolina are helping to build Josh’s campaign because they believe in his vision for a safer, stronger North Carolina,” said Jeff Allen, campaign manager for Josh Stein for North Carolina. “Headed into 2024, their support puts us in a uniquely strong position to make clear to voters in every corner of the state the stark choice they have in this election: someone who fights for them or someone who fights the culture wars.”

In the last six months of 2023, the campaign drew strong grassroots support from North Carolinians:

  • 88 percent of the contributions are $100 or less
  • More than 15,500 North Carolinians contributed to the campaign

More than 150 of North Carolina’s current and former elected officials, including Governor Cooper and over 95 percent of all of the Democrats in the General Assembly, have already endorsed Stein’s campaign, as have the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People, North Carolina AFL-CIO, NCAE, League of Conservation Voters, Reproductive Freedom for All, and Let America Vote / End Citizens United. These leaders and groups support Stein’s vision for North Carolina and his record of accomplishment on issues that matter to North Carolinians.

All eyes are on North Carolina – the “biggest gubernatorial race of the year.”
