Synopsis by Robert Firsching
This war film from Greek director Kostas Andritsos depicts the battle for Epirus and the Greek border with Albania on October 28, 1940. Shortly before Mussolini's ultimatum to the Greek government, Italian General Badoglio's forces hit a Greek advance team at the border, but the small band of soldiers hold firm against the Italian onslaught, eventually gaining support and pushing back the Axis menace. Yiannis Voglis leads the cast, with Xenia Kaloyeropoulou, Petros Fyssoun, and Anna Mantzourani co-starring.
