The problem with calling this venue “Mediterranean” is that you need to then provide authentic Mediterranean food. Most of the dishes were boring style pastas and none are house made. Menu looked like the Olive Garden but prices did not. The apricot salmon had too much apricot and wasn’t as balanced as an asian style normally is. The rice and fried chickpeas had no flavor and there was just too much of it. Seasoning needed. The soup was ok but it certainly wasn’t Mediterranean, it was so forgettable i couldn’t even place it. Meats were overcooked. Place was really slow and they got the order wrong. Don’t waste your money, this place is joyless.

Wow. So many things wrong. First of all, my husband’s dinner order was not what he selected. They said they would bring him a free drink as a result since my dinner sat while I waited to eat. Did they credit him that promised free drink? No. My pork chop was tiny and cooked within an inch of its life. empty restaurant should’ve clued me in. Terrible. $130 for food that no one enjoyed. So very disappointing. Will absolutely not go back.

Quite authentic Italian / Mediterranean food (coming from two people of Italian background). It was a great stop for lunch. Perfectly al dente pasta and generous portions with salads and other dishes. (The one star was docked only due to initial service/seating. We waited to be seated for a good 4-5 minutes where the menus were, and still no one came around to the front, so we had to venture to the bar to ask if we could be seated)

Mixed Mediterranean menu (Greek, Italian, Lebanese, Moroccan), some things were good, some things were unusual (in a good way) - notably the salmon dish. The bolognese on cavatappi (what?) was disappointing. Overall a good experience though.

We visited recently on a busy Saturday afternoon to grab some apps and cocktails. We were quickly seated on the patio where we sat for 25 minutes without anyone coming over to offer us a glass of water or take a cocktail order. Mind you the other customers on the patio were being served. Luca's used to be our favorite restaurant when visiting Keene but no longer. Needless to say, we left - not sure anyone even noticed. Luca's service used to be top notch, sadly this is the third recent visit that disappointed.

We enjoyed our visit to Lucas and had a great dinner.. Jackie introduced me to a new beer, Shiner Bock, which will be added to the approved list. Whipped fetta started was awesome and our entrees were equally excellent. This was our first visit in two years and we intend to return soon. Mark K.

My husband and I were able to grab the last two seats on a busy Saturday before a local performance. My eggplant was probably the best I've had and my husband felt the same about his butternut squash ravioli! Thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the very busy bartender. We will be back!

This restaurant is right on the downtown square and was within walking distance of our Inn. We had reserved ahead and were seated in a nice cozy table near the window. We had a young waitress who told us she was new. But we found her delightful, and she was very efficient. The food was plentiful and really good. Being Italian cuisine, it's pretty hard to go wrong with pasta. But even the main entrees were delicious. The location was noisy with sirens going by, so that may not interest the savvy diner. But, for a quality meal in a comfortable setting, we give them high marks.

Great wait staff, awesome appetizers, great mains. We would definitely go again when in the area. Be sure to make reservations because they had to turn people away that didn't have them. Food has a European flare to it. For starts we had Reimagined BLT and Almond Crusted Fried Mozzarella - both were great. Husband had Chicken Scarpariello (said it was good, not outstanding) and I enjoyed Tortelloni alla Panna.

Small town dining necessarily moderates the offerings to stay profitable. This rule has notable exceptions but the exception makes the rule. Luca's pushes the envelop for fine dining in a small town setting. We stopped in for lunch on a glorious fall day. Keene seems to be the essential small college town without the snotty preppiness. Luca's is in the town square with a dazzlingly white church on the opposite side and numerous beer pubs and coffee emporiums in attendence. Gorgeous setting. Crazy traffic pattern. My wife and I had the wild mushroom and polenta appetizer which was simple but elegantly flavored. Chef gets an A for this. I had penne with vodka sauce and added grilled chicken. The sauce and penne were lovely. The chicken was a tad dry but perfectly seasoned. My wife had a pork cultlet valdostana which sandwiched prosciutto between two slabs of pork. The tomato sauce was excellent and the pork was perfectly cooked as were the potatoes. We enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake for dessert which was very good. The prices were more than fair. My wife's meat portion was simply staggering. I think she finished about a fourth of what was served. We'll be eating the remainder for the next few weeks. This is a cozy place but I enjoyed my meal so much I can overlook a few details in my overall experience. To wit, the lighting was too dark. We couldn't see that our pork had a layer of prosciutto. The hallway to the restrooms was a bit gnarly but the bathrooms were clean. The server could have warned us about the size of my wife's entre but he was pretty busy.

This place was poppin at noon on a Wednesday so I had to try it. Lovely little restaurant right in the center of town. I enjoyed my Greek salad a lot! It was very well seasoned, all olives were pitted, and had a nice array of tasty vegetables like artichokes and pickled onions. Bread and olive oil came free. Servers were all lovely. Anyone’s entree I was able to peak at looked delicious. This is a great place for lunch or dinner.

We had dinner with family from out of town last week (11-16-21) at Luca's. It was the first time back to Luca's in over 3 or 4 years as we had a mediocre experience back then. We started off with drinks (both mixed drinks & wine) and appetizers. We shared the Moroccan Roasted Cauliflower (amazing), Lamb Gyro Lettuce Wraps (amazing), Mediterranean Pork Street Taco (great), and Wild Mushroom soup (average). All our drinks were great. We did not receive bread & oil for some reason even though other tables did. For main course we had Maple Balsamic Glazed Salmon (delicious but small filet), Chicken Fracaise (x2)(terrible - tough/dry chicken/not pounded out and very bland as well as dry/very little sauce), and Braised Beef Short Ribs (x2)(below average - wasn't even true short ribs but most likely a roast of some type - relatively bland). For dessert we had Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée (average), Flourless Chocolate Cake (good), and Limoncello Mascarpone Cream Cake (good). Aside from not receiving bread/oil (maybe it's upon request only) our server was excellent - the pace was perfect for our food and drink (we like to take our time and enjoy each course; we were there for 2 hrs); she also kept our waters full including our own carafe for the whole table. Overall, giving the experience 3 stars out of 5 due to the disappointing main courses. The excellent service and appetizers saved the rating from being lower.

Lovely little spot in the townhall block. Lunch was braised artichokes, papas bravas, Salata Misto with Salmon, Braised short ribs on risotto, limoncello mascarpone cake and the limoncello gelato. All were expertly done, correct portions, delicious! Host and waiter, Eric, both superb! This was a birthday treat and for such a small place it made for a big memory. Definitely going back.

We were greeted by the owner upon arrival - welcoming and accommodating. Food was most flavorful... every dish. I had a Mediterranean pork tapa with Manchego, lemon aioli, etc.... I could taste each of the nicely blended ingredients. Cozy dining space, informally formal.

We were traveling through the area doing a foliage trip and was staying nearby and made a reservation for this gem. A lovely small restaurant inside with a large outdoor seating area as well. It was a warm evening in October so we opted for outside. I started with the Caesar salad, my boyfriend had the mushroom appetizer, both very good. I then had the beef medallions which was absolutely delicious & my boyfriend had the Tagine, which he said was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu is interesting and they also offered specials. A popular place with the locals in this lovely town of Keene. Reservations are recommended.
