      Critics Consensus

Strong performances from leads Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Saniyya Sidney can't course correct The Passage's wayward plot and feeble tone.

Hanh Nguyen indieWire Fox's show sets itself apart by being less negative and relentless than "The Walking Dead." Rated: B+ Mar 14, 2019 Full Review Ed Bark Uncle Barky Whatever the sci-fi parameters, they're not enough in themselves to sell a series. Rated: B+ Feb 14, 2019 Full Review Alison Herman The Ringer The Passage is a cautionary tale about forcing an unnatural match between organism and host. It's instructive, if not for the reasons its creators think. Jan 16, 2019 Full Review Chauncey K. Robinson The Twisted Girl Next Door Off to a great start with horror, action, and quality relationships underlying the terror of the end of the world as we know it. Mar 22, 2019 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Dramatic horror adaptation has vampires, bloody violence. Rated: 4/5 Jan 24, 2019 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba If the show can maintain its breakneck speed and continue unspooling the plot at a fast clip without running out of kite string, I expect viewers will still be around to see it. 10g1k 1 The Good. The kid, Saniyya Sidney, does a fantastic job. I mean her acting is really impressive. The cast are all good, but for a kid to act that well is awesome. The story is just ok, something I've seen in a couple of other shows. The Bad. Impossibly stupid security arrangements and character behaviour due to bad script writing. The Ugly. Every now and then, to artificially introduce tension, they run a high pitched sound in the background. You might think you've suddenly been afflicted with tinnitus. But it's just the show. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Hoping another network gives this show the chance it deserves. I was a fan of the books first so knew I wanted to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member My daughter and I really liked this show. Why was it cancelled? Wah! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm very critical of shows like this, but this show is phenomenal and definitely worth the watch. The show captivated me from the beginning and only became more interesting with each episode. Not sure why it was cancelled. Hopefully another channel picks it up. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member WHY cancel this show now? Last season just set the show up to be an action packed show. The last scene proved that. Why not give this show another season to prove itself? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This tv show was amazing i waited two whole weeks and was gunna catch up on those to monday episodes nd when i went to my page to see if the nexted episode was there, i was disappointed. I loved this tv series if i could id give this show more stars. It was really gd nd it was pretty clear of what could in fact happen to our lives.
