American rapper and vocalist Flo Rida has been a mainstay of Hip-Hop since the late 2000s. His longevity is largely due to creating excellent tracks that make fans feel good.
In a world of negativity and cynicism, feel-good music is in short supply, but not when it comes to this cat. He’s collaborated with the likes of T-Pain, Robin Thicke, Keisha, and many more over the years. And he has always looked and sounded great when doing so.
The Top 55 Flo Rida songs showcase an eclectic mix of Pop and Rap styles with more club bangers than you’d find in a strip club. When his 2011 album, Wild Ones, hit the streets, it cemented Flo Rida as one of the best in the game, and it just kept getting better. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular Flo Rida songs of all time.
Top 55 Flo Rida Songs
1 Wild Ones (feat. Sia)
“Wild Ones” features Australian vocalist Sia and is the title track of the 2011 album of the same name. That album had four major singles that pushed Flo Rida to prominence in the rap industry.
This track is routinely accepted as the best Flo Rida song, and it’s hardly surprising. It was positioned in the Top 5 of the Hot 100 Billboard charts in the US and charted in every country around the world where it was released in.
WWE owner Vince McMahon even used this as the theme song for WrestleMania 28; such was its popularity and mainstream success at the time. It’s listed as the fourth-highest-selling Flo Rida track ever. But I’ve got it at the top of my list because of how influential it was for his career.
2 Right Round (feat. Ke$ha)
When this track first came out, it took some real negative criticism. But, over time, it became much more respected and successful. “Right Round” took so much flak because of its misogynistic lyrics, but hey, this is rap music, so what would you expect? It was a massive commercial success back in 2009 and was the first single from his critically-acclaimed second studio album, R.O.O.T.S.
The track features vocalist Kesha, otherwise known as Ke$ha. The poppy vibes merge Hip-Hop and a splash of EDM to create something a bit different than the norm at that time. In 2009, it was nominated in the Best Hip-Hop Video category at the MTV Music Awards and was a big deal back then.
3 Club Can’t Handle Me (feat. David Guetta)
“Club Can’t Handle Me” featuring David Guetta was a massive commercial success in 2010. It is the perfect example of the sound at the time that was combining Pop, Rap, and EDM into a new entity.
You can hear some of these same vibes from some Nicki Minaj and Pitbull tracks in the early 2010s. During that time, this song literally took over every nightclub dancefloor in the world, and that’s not exaggerating anything.
It’s known as one of the greatest club tracks of all time. How many Hip-Hop artists can say that? Not many! It peaked in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 Billboard charts and sold over three million copies in the US. It catapulted the rapper to worldwide stardom, and his feet have barely touched the ground since.
4 Good Feeling
When I want to feel good, I don’t listen to the deeply-depressing XXXTENTACION, that’s for sure. I put on “Good Feeling” because it does just what it says on the box. This track has the notoriety of being on both his Wild Ones album and his 2012 Good Feeling EP. The positive up-tempo vibes can alter the trajectory of your day with a single listen, and compliments don’t get better than that.
The first week it was released, it reached #82 on the Hot 100 Billboard charts in the US. But, by week 16, it peaked at #3. It grew on everyone over time, and those are usually the best songs.
5 Whistle
The intro hook of “Whistle” might be one of the most famous from the 2010s. Some of his fans are probably mad that this track isn’t higher on my list of the top 55 Flo Rida songs. But opinions are subjective, and this one is mine. The catchy hooks and hypnotic pop vibes of this track took everyone by storm in 2012 when it was a single from the Wild Ones album.
Everyone knows this track, and if you don’t, you are either older than dirt or have been living under a rock in Siberia for the past decade. And, if so, I forgive you. Aside from that, this is easily one of the most famous Flo Rida songs ever, and one that I still listen to today when I need a jolt of positivity.
6 My House
“My House” is another track that is so unmistakable the moment it starts playing. Flo Rida has a knack for putting a smile on your face and getting you in the mood for fun times. Vince McMahon once again used this track as the theme song for WrestleMania 32, so he’s probably Rida’s oldest and richest powerful white man fan.
I put this track right up there with anything he’s ever done, and that’s saying something. It was also used in the 2017 movies The Boss Baby and The House. This is one of Flo Rida’s most successful songs, so it was popping up everywhere in mainstream culture at the time. And, rightfully so!
7 Sugar (feat. Wynter)
If you don’t hum along to “Sugar,” I have to question if you have a heart or a piece of coal in that chest of yours. It was initially released way back in 2009 and was one of his first commercial successes. The track went straight to #25 on the US Billboard Charts and ended up peaking at #5.
It’s one of the most contagious songs Rida ever made. And the vocal cameo from the super-talented Wynter took the vibes to another level. I remember hearing it back then, and I wasn’t even a fan at the time, but I soon was.
8 GDFR (feat. Sage the Gemini & Lookas)
“GDFR” features Sage the Gemini and Lookas and was originally positioned on the My House EP in 2015. In my opinion, this is one of his slower-paced tracks that sounds more in line with traditional Hip-Hop values. The catchy chorus never fails to hook you, and once you are there, this is a true head-nodding classic.
As I said, this is one of his less experimental tracks, and I appreciate that. If you get the chance to check out the official video on YouTube, I suggest that you do, because it’s pretty great. Aside from all that, this is a solid track that I routinely go back to.
9 I Don’t Like It I Love It (feat. Robin Thicke & Verdine White)
“I Don’t Like It I Love It” is the ultimate summer song with positive vibes. Having cameos from Canadian pop star and vocalist Robin Thicke and singer Verdine White only helps to elevate the entire vibes. In the US, the UK, and Australia, this track has been certified Platinum multiple times, and in a host of other countries. It was a massive commercial success.
When Flo Rida puts on his Pop music hat and collaborates with other pop stars, magical things happen. This track sounds just as good today as it did when first released in 2015, and that’s a serious compliment.
10 Low (feat. T-Pain)
I know that “Low” shouldn’t probably be so low on this list, but there are so many tracks to choose from. The fact that it features T-Pain automatically ensures it gets a spot on this list, but it would’ve anyway. For anyone who knows, this is one of the most covered tracks from the past couple of decades.
It was released from his debut album and was also included in the soundtrack for the 2018 movie Step Up 2: The Streets. If you are already a Flo Rida fan, you don’t need me to tell you anything about this important song. And, if this is your first time listening to the artist, this is the perfect place to start.
