When Lady Katherine Cromwell, Baroness Helmingham Tollemache was born in 1562, in Putney, Surrey, England, her father, Henry Cromwell 2nd Baron Cromwell, was 24 and her mother, Mary Paulet, was 21. She married Lionel Tollemache 1st Baronet of Helmingham on 10 February 1581, in North Elmham, Norfolk, England. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 24 March 1620, in England, at the age of 58, and was buried in Helmingham, Suffolk, England.
