Bad Stepmother plot

Verity and Jonathan's father dies of a mysterious heart attack. As a result, Verity is forced to return to her hometown of New Orleans. Verity and Jonathan discover that their father had a new wife named Louise. Except for the house, she gets the entire inheritance. However, Louisa is not satisfied with that and is determined to get the house too.
