Week 5 Update - Bouncing Off the Walls

Journey Updates

M49 / 6'0 / SW143.87kg(317.17 lbs) / CW 133.03kg (293.3 lbs) / GW77kg(170 lbs) / Class II Obesity

Total weigh lost - 10.84kg (23.9 lbs)

Just finished my fifth week on MJ, first on 5mg. Took my first 5mg dose on the 30th April. My energy levels are through the roof and I am bouncing off the walls. Attributing to the clean eating and increased fitness levels.

Side Effects - None this week. I thought I had a bad experience about 8 hours after the injection but after reviewing what I had to eat the previous few days, it was very high in protein and extremely low in carbs, almost none. After eating dinner, it was not long before I was back on my feet.

Food – Continued to stick to my very boring and by the book meals. My breakfast and lunches are the same. Moma Jumbo Oat Porridge almond butter & salted caramel for breakfast(Lactose Free). Fruit at various times during the day. Chicken breast and vegetable for lunch and if I am not home, I will have a Huel Black meal replacement. Gousto food delivery service for dinner, sticking with the higher protein, lower carb options. Increased the amount Huel Pure Protein as to assist with reaching calorie goals. Sashimi on Saturday for lunch at a Japanese restaurant was a nice treat and enjoyed it with a bowl of Miso soup.

Exercise - A lot!! Strength training, and a lot of walking. The walks have been focused on hills as we are planning to do large sections of the south west coastal path in June.

Challenges - I did not expect to lose more than 1kg and at most any more than 1% of my body weight. Need to review my calorie intake versus the amount of exercise I am doing each week.

Positive Effects

  • Energy levels

  • Starting to see the physical changes, and not just in the face. Mid section is shrinking.

  • No food noise but also not that overwhelming full feeling.

  • Dropped from Class III Obesity to Class II Obesity

  • Still no desire to drink alcohol

Great update - and glad things going well for you.

The increase in energy is something I have too - it’s great!

Strange, isn't it? I am sitting in my office thinking, I could walk the 8 miles home today and then go to the gym.

Thank you for a great update. It's lovely seeing another positive journey and you're doing so so well. Seeing the percentage loss is also a great idea, as it's not just lbs on the scale that matters. I hope you keep having great weeks ahead x

Thank You!! Hoping it continues as well but will not be surprised to see the dreaded 5mg stall that many have reported.

Yes I know, it's a worry isn't it! I think I'm ready to go up to 5mg now so getting prepared.
