I haven’t been there in years. I‘ce been excluded for “I have no clue”. Be careful it can happen to you and it is harmful to your lively hood. I’m only 5-10 miles away, is it safe? @Marilyn90125255

DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS TO ANY SHOW AT THIS CASINO! I have called numerous times and sent emails but no one has bothered to answer me. The show was cancelled but I have not received a refund. Very poor customer service.

I would steer clear of purchasing tickets for events at this Casino. I purchased $170 worth of tickets for a murder mystery show and dinner for my family. The show tickets were for Saturday Jan. 18th 2020 and due to travel advisories they canceled the show and rescheduled for Friday March 21st which didn't work for my family with it being on a week night. They offered a refund for anyone that couldn't make it to the new date so my wife emailed and called. She spoke to Chanoa and couldn't get the issue resolved as she states that the refund couldn't get put back onto the card because of an issue. I then called and emailed with receiving the the same response from Chanoa. After over a month of waiting we were told it was sent to the MIS department and we would hear something that day. Almost another month has passed with no response from emails as I've requested a check be sent in the mail. Horrible customer service!

This is an update review. The actual view is great. The food can be quite good or not so much. I have to downgrade my review. Service was very bad. So bad others walked out after being ignored for at least half hour. Eating at the View is a crap shoot. Oh ya it’s a casino. Keep expectations low. They always seem to be short of help.

We checked in and upon entering the room I was immediately disappointed: the smell was horrible. I should have known then it was going to be bad . The hotel is rundown and it’s obvious they have not updated or put any money back into it: old and rundown. The cabins on the lake are not much better , our friends stayed there. They were not clean. I don’t think they ever mopped the floor. Ever... my advice stay in town there’s gotta be a better place.

I was really disappointed with this hotel. We requested a two room suite and later discovered that there was still only one bed. We had to have a roll away in the middle of one of the rooms since there were three of us. The entire hotel had an overwhelming smell of fabreze of scented cleaners. The room and carpet were very dirty. The entire place seemed very poorly designed. For example, in the bedroom of the suite, the light switch was located on the opposite wall (we had to walk around the door to access it). the furniture and the layout of the room did not make sense. There were not any night tables next to the bed and so on. the carpet had several ink stains throughout the room. We turned on the jets to the hot tub and disgusting 'stuff' came out. Apparently this is never cleaned. The amenities seemed to be the cheapest products that could be found. The soap and shampoo was cheap, the coffee cups were styrofoam, the coffee was cheap and random each day, the tray was a plastic food tray you would get at McDonald's. The tissue, toilet paper, towels and pretty much everything you could name was the cheapest quality product on the market. Even the furniture was cheap quality. It is like everything was supplied from the dollar store. We tried the breakfast buffet and it was ok, but the cheap quality was apparent in the food also. The price was good, but the quality was poor.We also noticed very poor hygiene habits from the staff. I am scared to even research the health department score.The casino was fun and they did have a wide variety of slot machines. Overall, we were very disappointed with the hotel. We expected more and will not stay here again.

We have been staying at this casino/resort for several years now. Each year it gets a bit worse. The carpet is the same since we have been coming (2005), and the only service in the rooms is to make the bed, replace towels, and remove the garbage in your small trash can (if there is anything that didn't make it in the small bag provided it will be there for your entire stay). The rooms are not vacuumed during your stay (peanuts and such were in the room before we arrived), you don't get more toilet paper unless you ask, they do not clean the bathroom sinks or wipe anything down at all. We have also found they do nothing the day before check out. They don't even come in to make the bed or replace the towels. We have somewhat put up with this because of the price of the rooms in the pastg, but our stay last week was $99 on the weekend. For that money you expect a bit more. We thought the night buffet was a bit better than the last few years, but that isn't enough to keep us coming back. In years past the parking lot was always filled and it was hard to find a parking spot. During the week the lot was practically empty, and on Friday night the lot filled up but by morning again pretty empty which tells you people came for the casino and didn't stay at the resort.

We usually love Spirit Lake but our last trips were terrible! We smoke and the slots in the smoking area were either out of service or too darn tightened up! They need to accommodate us smokers by at least upgrading. Played in the nonsmoking area also and most of the machines I like to play were either out of service and also very tight. If they want us back they need to loosen up the slots! The rooms were great and so is the food. I will not hesitate to report them to the attorney general, I have reported our casino twice!

Paid $15.00 extra for poolside room only to find out hot tub was down and pool was freezing so paid another $25.00 for a whirlpool tub room. Turned on jets and brown scum shot out, I cleaned out tub and refilled it only for it to happen again, Disgusting. Complained to management showed her tub, she discounted us 31.87 plus 5.63 in taxes so not even the $40.00 we spent extra to get these rooms and hassle of moving. Will never go back. Thanks for ruining our one night away for our 15 year anniversary
