Phil Ford plays the "Big Man" who travels to the small town of Apple Valley where he plans on turning it into the next Las Vegas but the locals don't want that.
SATURDAY NIGHT BATH IN APPLE VALLEY has a very interesting title and in fact it's one of the best titles I've come across while going through the Something Weird Video site. Sadly, it's also one of the worst films that I've seen from them but there is something oddly attractive about it but more on that in a bit.
What's so strange about this film is that it appears to be trying hard to make you laugh but there's not a single joke that works and what's worse…
Just got this via Something Weird Video. It's a real odd one, directed by John Myhers, who played Mr. Bratt in How to Succeed in Business, and appeared opposite Viveca Lindfors in Morris Engel's Weddings and Babies). The back cover reads, "When a comedy that desperately tries to be funny isn't, bizarre things happen. Topical jokes that are now lost in time hang in the air like deadly non-sequiturs. Comical characters suddenly look scary. Hilarious situations become frightening. And a supposedly crazy little film like Saturday Night Bath in Apple Valley – which was meant as an unconventional, free-wheeling, offbeat comedy to begin with – suddenly becomes gloriously surreal. If Something Weird can release some of the strangest exploitation films…
