Renaissance (4) – Scheherazade And Other Stories

My copy has its labels on the wrong sides of the record.

A very well-rounded and well-needed deluxe box of a beloved album. Sounds really great, better than what I've hoped even. The booklet provides a really great and entertaining background for the album, while the poster fills a similar role to the original inner sleeve, containing the lyrics and photo of the band. The sleeves for the discs are thick and durable, but it's slightly tricky to pull the discs out at times. Maybe my fingers are just too big. But in conclusion, Esoteric does us well with another pleasant-to-own box set. If you love this album, you'll love this box.

Mine is variant 2 above but has no printed inner sleeve. Just the usual white dye cut plain paper inner with a printed date of 1975 at the bottom. So an original inner I guess. Also the photos shown above do not show any inner.
Can anyone confirm this inner did exist by sending a photograph ?
Great folkl styled, non electric guitar English prog of the highest order. Pressing sounds great, flat, dynamic and very engrossing. I love this band.

One of those pressings that really catch you off guard. Tremendous sound that far exceeds expectation. Wow!

vinyl lp from 1975? with a barcode? are you sure...... lol!

The one I own (bought around 76/77) has had a "little" manufacture problem : side two is definitely NOT Renaissance.

Some kind of "funky" thing totally unknown to me and which runs at 45 RPM.

So, no Schererazade on this record for me.

Edit : well, two years later, I finally found what is on the B side of this LP : "Have a good time" by The New York Community Choir"

I got a very nice copy, near mint. The album is excellent and the pressing is pretty good. I noticed some audible clipping in Trip to the Fair, but that might be my setup more than anything.

My copy is BTM 1006, 26.21554 but it comes in a gatefold sleeve with lyrics and band photo. Made in Germany, as well.
