While I learned a great deal about Sweden that I did not previously know, and appreciate the depth of research: I was confused and disappointed by the finished result.
Some of the phraseology is awkward and difficult to read and maintain a flow .... constantly stopping, re-reading and editing/rewriting the text to understand what the author was trying to convey.
Title says '... beginning to end'; but: gets to the 19th century, then wraps up in a few paragraphs.
So - difficult to rate - good content / below par presentation....not up to usual 'Hourly' standard.

His book enlightens me about a Swedish influence and development that I don't recall being discussed in previous history studies. It was interesting to learn about Sweden's Empire that I'd no idea existed, heretofore. Nor did I know that the Swedes were so bellicose, especially when compared to contemporary Sweden.
All that being said, his treatise does seem to be written with a bias towards Sweden that winds up making this seem somewhat cloying and overly deferential such get objectivity may be questioned.
