You are out of luck as there is no other way without doing either of those things.

You must be competent enough to either modify a mission file or download a mod.




I take it that you are implying that the C-47 is only available in Quick Missions because you saw it as one of the selectable AI planes. That is completely logical, because the original developers never put the time into modeling that planes interior. Reason being that time is money, and many of the planes you see were added as AI in expansions packs for the game. Therefore since it has no modeled cockpit it is an AI only plane.


It is possible to select the C-47 and fly it inside a mission without any mods, that just involves editing a missions .mis file and adding the specified plane to the the [BornPlace0] class (Create [BornPlace0] if it does not exist). You would be able to fly the specified plane if the map were launched in the dogfight setting. But you will only be able to fly the plane in 3rd person mode.

The other more desirable option would be to download a mod that includes that planes interiors (among other things). I would recommend the mod SAS ModAct[www.sas1946.com] for achieving this. However, there are other mods out there that can achieve this as well, even some individual plane mods.
