      Critics Consensus

Bogged down in slapstick and silliness, Edge of Reason is a predictable continuation of the Bridget Jones story.

Jordan K Coulda/ahoulda been awesome but it Renee Zellweger’a portrayal of Bridget as an idiot instead of witty but insecure was the wrong way to go. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/01/24 Full Review Jonever f It's really disapponting. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Dasha V I felt like this movie underplayed some of what Mark did to upset Bridget. It also had her running back to him to apologize for getting upset over reasonable things!!! It was sad to watch honestly. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review KB B It wasn't that good I preferred the 1st one. Don't bother with this one. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/12/23 Full Review Emma C I know everyone always wants to know what happens to the couple once they get together, but here it really wasn't necessary. This is not cosy and heartwarming like the first instalment, it is clunky and embarrassing. As far as I am concerned, there is only 1 Bridget Jones film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/11/23 Full Review donnie m i LOVE the bridget jones movies-no one can do what Renee does-she's hilarious and the music/songs in this movie make you 'feel good' and take you back to when music was 'really good' Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
