Over 100 students have enjoyed a fantastic week of summer school at Treviglas this week. All students joining us in Year 7 in September have been given their own copy of the book: 'The Unforgotten Coat', by Frank Cottrell-Boyce, and this formed the basis of our literacy sessions during summer school. The numeracy focus has included accessing the Mathswatch programme in our computer suites.
In the afternoons students have taken part in a diverse range of activities including sports - dodgeball, basketball and softball; making survival bracelets and keyrings; teambuilding (making marshmallow and spaghetti towers, and putting up tents); creative activities, mindfulness colouring and board games; a practical science science, outdoor learning, orienteering and a culture session based around the theme of journeys.
