- Shane TSydney, Australia1,130 contributionsOne of the best day activities to do with your family. Had everything. We parked half way at Shelly Beach in a side street. We walked along the boardwalk back towards Cronulla Beach. We stopped on the way at the rock pools where the kids had a play then walked to South Cronulla Beach where we got a coffee and milk shake. The kids then had a play at the beach then the play ground.
We then walked back to Shelly beach where we had a picnic at Shelly Park then a swim in the Beach pool they have there. It started sprinkling so we decided to call it a day.
We took our time with all this. We arrived at 7:15 and left at 1pm. So just short of 6 hours and we didn’t even do the other side of the walk. Another day for sure. Definitely recommend so much to do.Written January 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not as popular as Cronulla but that's a good thing.Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mdt T85 contributionsThis is a nice place. Only walking distance from where i live, i like seeing all the different families down there using it for gatherings. Because the pool clears out with the tides, its a lot cleaner than other rock pools that hold stale water. You can enter the pool via ramp or steps and there is grass and sand areas to lay out your towel. The showers are in good nick as well.
On a good tide you can surf off to the side.Written November 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The walk proved a little longer than we expected, so found this to be a great place to take a breather and admire the panoramic views across Port Hacking to Bundeena and Jibbon Beach. And the clarity of the water below the LO is sublime. It is said to be a good snorkeling spot and I can see why. The point is also home to an impressive monument to the intrepid explorers Bass and Flinders who during their epic journey south in the rowboat Tom Thumb explored and named Port Hacking in 1976. (They also met with local Aborigines who told them the place already had a name - Watta-molla.)Written November 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle BCronulla, Australia172 contributionsAnother wonderful afternoon cruising the Port Hacking waterways with delicious finger food and fabulous music from the Sweetest Goodbye musicians. And let's not forget the rest of the crew who work so hard to ensure we all have a great time.
With many thanks from the Swimzala mob.Written May 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
