Johnson Named Director of Elementary Education
Kerrville ISD has named Julie Johnson as the new Director of Elementary Education after the Board of Trustees approved the hiring during the May meeting this evening. Johnson is currently the Principal of Nimitz Elementary and has been with KISD for 8 years.

Tivy Senior Awarded UIL Scholarship
Tivy senior Clara Sumner was one of a select few seniors across the state to be awarded an H-E-B UIL Scholarship earlier this month.
For the sixth year, H-E-B awarded 15 high school seniors who participate in UIL competitions with a $2,000 scholarship in recognition of their community service and involvement.
“It is an honor to be recognized alongside fourteen other Texas UIL competitors for leadership in community service,” Sumner said. -
Tivy Students Awarded Academic Recognitions
Several Tivy students earned academic recognitions from College Board based on the scores on the PSAT administered last school year.

Tivy Girls Basketball Coach Announces Retirement
Tivy High School Girls Head Basketball Coach and Coordinator Christy Dill announced today that she retiring from coaching and teaching at the end of the school year.
“I take tremendous pride in the Lady Antler Basketball program and all the strong, awesome women it has helped to create,” Dill said.
