Presumed Innocent is an eight-part limited series starring and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal, hailing from David E. Kelley and executive producer J.J. Abrams. The star-studded ensemble cast also includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard, Kingston Rumi Southwick and Elizabeth Marvel.
Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, the gripping series takes viewers on a journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys' office when chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich (played by Gyllenhaal) is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.

Loved this movie, it will lend itself well to this format. Harrison Ford, Raul Julia, Brian Dennehy master class

JJ's five year contract with WB comes to an end in four months, he's made zero things for them.

But he's earned $250 million. And still made plenty of things for other networks/distributors.

Truth. The film is wonderful - everyone is gold, Julia is magnetic in particular, and it's all supported by a perfect John Williams score. They don't come much better than this.

A good looking courtroom drama, too, with some real flair, without being showy. The long elevator shot where Dennehy is tearing down Ford's character is just divine.

There's room in this world for two great adaptations of source material. Fingers crossed.
