Hi, my friend and I (60 year olds) are travelling to Japan late September for 15 nights. I have worked up this itinerary but would love any input. I have travelled to Kyoto many times for business which is why it isn't included. Im really keen to hear if there are other ideas. Thanks for your help.

Hokone 1 About 90 minutes bullet train

Takayama 2 4 hours on a couple of train - 1 scenic, and 1 bullet

Naoshima Island 2 2.5 hour train & ferry trip to get to island

Kurashki 2 2.5 hour ferry & train trip

Hiroshima 1 1.5 hour train to Hiroshima

Okinowa 3 Fly 1.45 hours to Okinowa

Tokyo Depending on flights - fly to Tokyo to connec to home
