Hi, I am a Professor of Economics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). My research interests are public policy and applied microeconomics. This includes issues in a variety of areas including education, labour, health, transportation, and too many other things. I received my PhD from the University of Queensland and previously worked at Lancaster University.

I am the Editor in Chief at Education Economics, an Associate Editor at JEBO. I co-organise the annual International Workshop on Applied Economics of Education (IWAEE).  I am a Research Fellow at IZA, a member of the RWI Research Network, and an Affiliate of the Centre for Education Policy and Equalising Opportunities (CEPEO) at UCL.
