Stayed here, booked a table for dinner and as soon as we sat down and ordered a drink we were asked to move to accommodate a big party. Fair enough, food was good if somewhat swift. Ordered desert and was approached to ask if we would move out if the restaurant to an area with couches - we said no as we hadn’t finished eating and were told we are very busy tonight! This place is predominantly a wedding venue, their focus is on big parties and wedding guests - the rest of us are just filling gaps and feels like we aren’t as important. Also, the place is way too hot, heating was on and there was no need - we were uncomfortably hot in the bedrooms and restaurant. Real shame as this place has great potential but we’ve been treated better elsewhere so we won’t be back.

Lovely pub. Good food. Lovely staff. Just spoilt by an idiot couple at the next table swearing arguing and didn’t seem to know how to behave properly.

The service was not very attentive and at times rude. I thing this was due to a lack of experience. The beef was requested pink but was past- I suspect it had been heated in the micro as its texture had changed. Roast potatoes white, had hardly seen the oven. Asked for children’s dinners to have veg cooked a bit more (microwave would have been fine for this to soften them up) Chlidrsn’s menu not offered initially and then no crayons. My pudding was tiny for the price, not even a full scoop of ice cream. This has long been one of my favourite restaurants and indeed chains for years but this is another occasion I’ve left feeling disappointed… 2pm on a Sunday and I was one of only four tables in. I can see why. £60 for Sunday lunch for one adult and two children and when we got home I had to make the kids sandwiches as they left most of theirs. Sort it out apartment group

Wedding in the hotel next door was clearly a distraction. The few staff left in the bar were run ragged. They did ok but were up against it. Cocktails were poor, we ordered 3 different drinks but they all tasted the same. The lady on the bar apologised and said she was new. Mains were good, would order again. Desert was disappointing. Sticky Toffee pudding had been microwaved to within an inch of its life. It was hard and dry. The treacle tart was cold, and didn’t taste of much. White chocolate mousse was mare like yoghurt and fruit.

Freshly made food Great taste Impressed as soon as food put on the table. Nice atmosphere Fish pie was filled with lumps of cod and salmon No shell fish which made it more acceptable to a wider customer base. Beef burger was high quality The tagliatelle was a huge portion with the described Edame beans and peas. Easy parking Great venue in the middle of nowhere.

Was so looking forward to our meal, booked in advance. ordered drinks and was told there was no chicken, no crepes, no muscles, and a few other items that we couldn't order. I ended up with the prawn linguine that was very bland. It was too late to book anywhere else, so we ended up ordering the only two items we wouldn't usually order. If we had been made aware of the problem and contacted before we arrived, we would have stayed at the local pub we were in and had a meal on their menu.

Came here last year for the Sunday Lunch, which was excellent, so we were really looking forward to lunch yesterday. We had the Roast beef, and asked for the Beef not rare, but past. When the food came out, only 2 slices of beef, which were like leather, the Chef looks like they have just cooked under the grill, making it tough and hard to cut. The veg was ok, but the Beef spoiled the meal. Overpriced for poor quality food, we also had desserts, mixed berry sundaes, not worth the price of £8.50 each. We will not be coming back to this place, or encouraging friends to go.

One of our favourite places. Wonderful setting, consistently great food and drink but the staff are the real star of the show. Incredible service. Accommodating, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Wonderful place.
