I'm a season ticket holder for the Kansas City Chiefs and decided to stay at this attractive and spacious hotel. Stayed on the 30th floor with a spectacular view. Room was clean, the bed was so comfortable and made for a restful nights sleep. They run a shuttle to Arrowhead stadium on game days so you can have a good time and not have to worry about making it back safe and sound. I plan on staying here on all remaining games due to the shuttle service.

I want to make it short since others have written quiet a lot about this hotel. It's fine and you'd receive everything you might expect from a 4 star hotel, but that's all. The rooms are well decorated, but the carpet is a bit old fashioned.

The breakfast is fine, but some variety wouldn't harm. They do have a pool, but it's small. The surroundings - well, there is not much to do and the Crown Centre has seen much better days. A highlight is the gym - clean, spacious and well equipped.

Why then a three star rating? The hotel delivers what is expected, but it doesn't make you want to stay at this hotel again if you're not on a business trip and you have to.

Tip: Go to Kansas City the first Friday in the month, and you'll experience a fantastic, vibrant atmosphere with dozens of musicians performing on the streets and Art Gallery's showcasing fantastic items.

I stayed at the Sheraton for a business trip to Kansas City. The lobby was very big and very nice. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with their recommendations. Valet parking is $21 and regular parking is $16 per night. The valets are very nice. The gym was great. It was spacious and had everything you needed. The room was an average double room. It had decent bathroom and their beds were comfortable. The TV looked odd on such a giant dresser, but the room was certainly comfortable. It had what I needed for the nights I stayed there. There were some good restaurants for breakfast around the hotel, and within it there was a coffee bar and a restaurant with what looked to be a short yet decent menu. You could walk to the crown center mall -- though on most week days it closes by 6pm, which I find ridiculous. Some of their restaurants stay open inside the mall, but you're better off driving a bit of catching a cab elsewhere. The hotel had great views of Kansas City's downtown area.

Planning our road trip across 8 states we worked out we would be in Kansas City for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. I have to be honest that at first the thought made me feel underwhelmed. Having spent the previous anniversary's in Bangkok, Cattle ranching, Phuket and Seattle - Kansas City was never up there on my top 10 places for romance. Tornados, corn fields, gingham and talking scarecrows may have something to do with this --- but hubby said after 4 days of constantly being on the road we would spend 2 days & nights relaxing in a fabulous hotel.

We looked at The President and the Sheraton. It was a close call - but the Sheraton's proximity to The American Restaurant - where we had booked dinner for the 6th Sept sealed the deal.

Pre-arrival I emailed the hotel to say it was our anniversary and to request a nice room with a good view of the city... aware we would be away from Downtown - I wanted to at least see it. Nice emails went backwards and forwards and they offered information on nearby things to see and do.

We arrived on Thursday 5th September - and drove up to the doors - where we were greeted by friendly parking and porter staff members. We decided for the sake of a few dollars more to go for the valet parking - and we were swiftly assisted to check in.

Despite looking sweaty and weary from our journey from Oklahoma City and looking very under-dressed (shorts, T-shirt and me in a Gingham Shirt - hey - when in Kansas...) we received a warm welcome and they wished us a happy anniversary - which was a nice touch and shows that the notes on the booking were acknowledged. As a gesture the valet charges for the two nights were waivered - which we thought was a great welcome to the Sheraton Brand.

We made our way up to our room on the 33rd floor .... to a corner room at the end of the corridor. Wowee! What a room - and what an incredible view!! We could see the whole of Downtown, and there in the midst of it - buried in shadow was the President Hotel --- yep definitely made the right choice by coming here.

Our cases arrived promptly - and after almost a week of constantly living out of them - it was so nice to abuse the ample storage and unpack our large cases and hang our shirts and dresses, and fill the drawers with our crumpled garments.

Room was clean, modern and nicely decorated. Bed was so comfortable compared to the motels we had previously been in and more than a pillow each. Small things to some - but big luxuries to us after our travels on the road. Ok - there were no robes and slippers - but there was coffee making facilities in the room, and nice toiletries. The shower worked a treat to freshen us up - and the towels were definitely the biggest and fluffiest we had on the whole trip (this was our half way point of an 11 day road-trip).

Collecting the car through the valet system took no time at all. We did "in and out" a bit on both days. No hassle - no fuss.

The concierge provided us with a map of the area. We were told about how to get to the Crown Centre via the covered walkways right from the mezzanine level of the hotel so we could walk to The American Restaurant without even setting foot outside in the heat. On the night I ended up walking there in my slippers as the 10-15 min walk would have been too much in heels --- but hey - my hair stayed straight and humid free!! Result after a week of "Curly Frizz".

After a great meal at Oklahoma Joe's on the KCK side of the city - and a good night's sleep - we spent our anniversary exploring the hotel, some bits of Downtown and the art museums, Crown Centre and using the hotel pool in the afternoon for an hour and just generally relaxing. Meal at The American was fabulous by the way ... and walking back afterwards, through the empty shopping centre at 11pm in my posh dress and slippers is a funny memory we will always have!

We really had picked a great hotel, for it's team, location and hospitality.

Check out was just as easy as check in - and the car was waiting for us and packed up ready. One last look at our emails etc on the lobby Wi-Fi before we headed for a night in St Louis.

I am Glad we spent our anniversary here - and I am glad that the Sheraton was our choice for two great days. Thanks guys for looking after us and making our anniversary just as special as in a skyscraper in Bangkok, on the beach in Phuket, riding horses in Arizona, and on the edge of Lake Union.

As a spg, Starwood owned properties (Sheraton, Westin, Ws) are my home away from home when i'm on the road traveling for work. Having stayed in many Sheratons and other Starwood owned properties over the last several years, I think I have a good sense of the range in quality--with this one being on the better end of the spectrum.

My stay at Sheraton Crown Center was much more enjoyable than I expected. Most of my trips have me in major cities, so I was a little worried about how this Sheraton experience would be, but all of worries were assuaged by the extremely friendly staff. Whenever I had a question or concern, the concierge and the front desk staff were always eager to assist me.

My room was super clean, smelled great, and I had a great view of the Power & Light district. I did take advantage of the green initiative, so the 5 dollar coupon was a nice gesture. The internet in the rooms seemed a little expensive, but there was free wifi in the lobby for my immediate needs. The rooftop pool was very nice--a little convoluted to get to, but hey what can you do.

Overall, I had a great stay at the Sheraton Crown Center. Friendly staff, beautiful views, and a comfortable bed...great choice for me. Best of luck & Keep up the great work!

This hotel is not up to Sheraton standards in my opinion and dissapointed me during our stay from sep 13-16th, 2013.
We were in room 1216 and although the overall experience and facilities are ok, I expect more than ok from a Sheraton.
My specific complaints are a stained tub (at first glance it looked like urine- but i believe it is rust and easily corrected by proper care/maintenance) and that on the 15th, the room was not properly made - trash not taken out, missing floor towel in bathroom, glasses not washed or replaced (soda residue still there)...nothing major or that had to be reported for correction, but perceived quality due to it is very low and dissapointing for a Sheraton- if you can get it cheap, stay here, otherwise i recommend you look elsewhere for better value.

injenswetrust- I appreciate you taking your time to share your comments and concerns you experienced during your recent stay with us. I sincerely apologize if your stay was less than perfect due to the servicing of your guest room. It is our goal as a Sheraton to make our guests experiences as comfortable and welcoming as possible. This is not at all what staying at Sheraton should feel like. We take your feedback very seriously and I have shared your comments with our housekeeping team to further investigate this matter and ensure this does not occur in the future. I hope your stay does not reflect negatively on other Starwood Hotels. It would mean a lot to our team to have you back as our guest and create a top notch experience.

We've stayed here twice for our anniversary through Priceline. Both times, the check-in staff have been very friendly. This time, Sharon gave us a room on the top floor and free breakfast in the morning upon learning we were staying for our anniversary. Always treated *very* well even with Priceline booking. Rooms are nice, views are great, beds and pillows are awesome. iPod/iPhone docking station alarm clock, newer flat screen TVs, etc. Breakfast at the restaurant was great too. And it's really, really classy that Sheraton is donating to the skywalk memorial even though it was a Hyatt hotel at the time and they are refusing.

I stayed at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center along with my daughter and 16 month old grandson, who was scheduled for procedures at Children's Mercy Hospital. After making my reservation I received an email from the General Manager welcoming me! I contacted his office to discuss some special needs we had the day before my grandson's procedures. I was amazed at the quick response, the compassion and concern for my grandson, and how willing they were to accommodate my needs, and even beyond. Upon check-in, we received a cheery welcome, and everyone from the bellman, the front desk and club room staff, and everyone else we met went above and beyond to assure we had everything we needed and offered their thoughts and prayers over the 3 days we were at the hotel. Even as we were leaving the hotel the bellman was so kind to ask about how my grandson was doing. Absolutely amazing!! I travel for a living and this was one of the best hotels as far as customer service I have ever experienced. Without a doubt, should I need to stay overnight in the Kansas City area again -- hopefully the next time for a pleasure trip -- I will stay at the Sheraton Crown Center, even if it means additional driving to do so. I am that impressed! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff!!
