The central government has launched the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal, providing crores of depositors with an opportunity to reclaim their deposits made in Sahara Group's cooperative societies.

This online portal aims to simplify the refund process and ensure a smooth experience for depositors.

If you are one of the depositors looking to claim your refund, follow these six simple steps to navigate through the portal and get your money back.

Step-by-step process to claim refund:

Registration on the portal: Visit the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal at https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/ and begin the process by registering.

Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the registered mobile number.

An OTP (one-time password) will be sent to your mobile number for verification. Once you enter the OTP, your registration will be complete.

Enter personal details: After successful registration, log in to the portal using your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.

Accept the conditions and proceed to the next step, where you will need to enter your personal details.

Provide your Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, father's name, Aadhaar-seeded bank account number, and optionally, your email ID.

Submit claim details: In this step, you are required to submit the claim details.

Provide information about the cooperative society you deposited with, including the membership number, receipt number, proof of deposit, deposit amount, and PAN (if the total claim amount across all societies exceeds Rs 50,000).

Generate claim request form: After providing all necessary information, generate the claim request form. This form will consolidate all the details you have submitted so far.

Fill in the claim request form: Print the generated claim request form and fill it out carefully. You will need to put your latest photograph and sign the document before proceeding to the next step.

Upload form: Once you have filled out the claim request form, upload it on the portal.

After the successful upload, an acknowledgment number will be displayed on the portal, and you will also receive an SMS on your registered mobile number confirming the submission.

The processing of your refund will be completed within 45 days and it will be transferred directly to the bank account that you have provided.
