CALDERWOOD, WILLIAM "BILL" 1935 - 2024 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Charles Calderwood, at the age of 88. Bill died on April 13, 2024, with family by his side. He is survived by his daughters, Dianne, Lisa (George) and Nancy (Lou); his grandchildren, Alana (Brock), Corey (Jacquelin), Jamie (Kaylee), Karen (Angelo), James, Brianna and Caitlyn; great-grandchildren, Emmett, Miles, Shania, Vasiliki and Konstantino. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 34 years, Norma; his eldest daughter, Brenda (Gary); sister, Joan (William); and his parents, Joseph and Ella. Bill enjoyed a 40-year career in insurance working at Aetna Canada, where he developed many lasting friendships. Bill loved spending time at the family cottage on West Lake, Haliburton, and for several years he was a member of the West Lake Cottage Association. Bill treasured his independence, living in the family home up to his passing. Visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m., on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Jerrett Funeral Homes - Scarborough Chapel, 660 Kennedy Road in Scarborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or any charity of your choice.
