Weeks before she was slain, Nicole Brown Simpson told her therapist that she was “seeing” football star Marcus Allen “and that she and O.J. had fought about it,” the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

Therapist Jennifer Ameli said in a recent deposition that Simpson “was angry” when he learned his former wife had allegedly rekindled her romance with Allen, said the newspaper, citing a lawyer representing the family of Ronald Goldman in a wrongful death civil suit against Simpson.

Simpson has testified that he was aware of a brief affair in 1993 between Nicole Simpson and Allen. He denied any knowledge of whether they restarted their relationship.

Ameli’s statement could provide a motive for her 1994 murder, the newspaper said.
