Abstract
This chapter explains that the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 aims to make provisions about immigration, asylum, and nationality. It explains penalties surrounding the employment of an adult subject to immigration control, citing that the Secretary of State may give a notice requiring employers to pay a penalty. England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland enforce different provisions concerning the payable sum to the Secretary of State as a penalty. Thus, the Secretary of State can issue a code of practice on the factors of the imposed penalty. The chapter also details how employers with notice can appeal for their case.
